On 26 July 2021, the second edition of the basketball camp began. Like the previous editions, it had an international character. The camp was organised at the Olympic Preparation Centre “Kolna” in Kraków for children and young people aged 9 to 19. Nearly 60 young players from all over Poland and France took part in the camp.
I know that what we teach during the camp pays off later throughout the school year – Ewelina Kobryn.
From France came coaches Philippe Courbon, who organises similar basketball camps on the Seine, and multiple NBA champion Tony Parker. Also working at the camp this year were Nicolas Perez, who plays in the men’s league Gravelines Dunkerque, and the former coach of the Polish women’s national team, multiple Polish champion Jacek Winnicki. The guest of honour, who traditionally opened the camp, was the distinguished Ludwik Miętta-Mikołajewicz, 14-time Polish champion, long-term managing director of the Euroleague club Wisła Kraków, coach who led the Polish women’s national team to the European vice-championship.
