On 18 August 2016, Ewelina Kobryn’s first open training session took place in Tarnobrzeg. It was a one-day training, which became a prototype for future basketball camps. The event was aimed at school children and youngsters, who took part in the training under the supervision of the Champion for free. Approximately 90 teenagers from Tarnobrzeg and the surrounding area took part in the training.
The camp had an open character. It was the first opportunity for residents to meet the basketball champion Ewelina Kobryn.
At the end of the day, a championship training of the teams and a match (Ewelina’s team vs. the team of Siarka Tarnobrzeg players) took place.
The day spent together was also an opportunity to meet representatives of the basketball world, former and current basketball players and exchange their experiences and views.
What does professional training look like, what tricks work on the court, what should every player remember on the court? These questions were answered by the participants in the training session. The young players received a commemorative T-shirt, a basketball and an autographed photo of Ewelina. From unofficial sources, we know that this was an event that will live long in the memories of the little Tarnobrzeżans.
At the end of the meeting Ewelina Kobryn received a club scarf of Siarki Tarnobrzeg.
